General description
​
Palo Santo out of sustainable forest management is an inspiring alterntive to the real Lignum Vitae, which is no longer available. Logs lenght to 2mts, average diameter up to 40cm. Timber has a fine texture, sometimes with stripes and is rather "oily" looking. It emits a clean, fresh scent unlike other wood. The heartwood is olive brown, sometimes dark brown, often with striping. The wood contains extracts, which are used in the chemical industry.
